02 May 2016 MEET UP WITH THE WINTER KAYAK CLUB

We have contacted Costantino from the Winter Kayak Club on behalf of Tatiana Capucci. It is always nice to meet with other kayakists on our road.

Costantino send me a text on Friday, while we just arrived in Varigotti. The following day, he comes to meet us by sea. Then, other kayakists arrive. They are very glad to accompany us along the way. We stop on the Noli beach where we can see fishermen’s boats. Costantino explains us that during the summer, there is so many people on the beach that it is almost impossible to boat up onto the beach. This is the reason why they named their club the Winter Kayak club.

We get nearer to the caves but the sea is pretty big so we can get into it.

On the Bergeggi beach, the club owns a porch overlooking the sea. Members of the club can leave their kayak there.

There are many private beaches in Italia with all necessary facilities such as showers, changing cabins and a good and affordable restaurant.

We have a lot of fun with them and we have a lunch with Constantino and his team. Then, we decide to take the helm again and cross two harbors where liners are leaving. The wind makes us reach the Albisola beach and we arrive at the windsurf club. Two days of strong wind are expected.

A.A.
